‘Tis the season for holiday confetti ornaments! And it’s just a bonus they hit on all three of my “favorite project” criteria: easy, fast, and fun!
These colorful baubles are sure to add a little festive fun to your holiday decor, and the color combos are virtually endless — that means you can make them any style you’d like!
All you need to make your own are *clear ornaments, colorful confetti, and festive ribbon.
*You can find alllll kinds of clear ornaments both online and in craft stores. Iridescent glass globes add a touch of extra glam, but plastic ones work great, too. (Especially if you have littles around!)
Need a really quick option? Check out our DIY Confetti Ornament Kits!
To make, simply pop the top off, fill up the ornaments with confetti, place the top back on, and tie on a colorful piece of ribbon. (Really, could it get any easier? That’s my kind of DIY!)
How much confetti you choose to add is totally a personal preference. I like an ornament about halfway-three quarters filled so I can shake it around if I want, but you can choose to do just a little sprinkle or fill ’em up to the top.
Whether you choose to go all out colorful with your ornaments or stick to one color scheme, the customizable nature of these make them perfect for either gifts or your own decor. (And speaking of customized, you can even order some custom confetti! How cute would that be with brand colors or a special someone’s favorite colors?)
With any style you go with they are sure to look so magical on your tree, lit up by all the sparkly lights. 😊
And yes, I think they look fantastic on a white iridescent tree! This one from Amazon is perfect — it’s 4 feet tall and also comes in a few fun colors like pink and turquoise!
No matter the colors, these sure to put the happy in Happy Holidays! 😉

Hello!
I’m looking to do these ornaments for a classroom party. How much confetti does one ornament take? Would a 10cup bag do 20 ornaments?
Thanks greatly!!
Hey Elizabeth! While it will ultimately come down to personal preference and the size of your ornaments, for an ornament like the ones featured here I usually use anywhere from 1/2-1 cup per ornament (1/2 cup is about 1/2 filled, 1 cup is almost completely filled.) If you want to be safe iI’d recommend two of our 10 cup bulk bags, but it’s up to you in terms of how much you want them filled. I hope that helps!
