Take What You Need {Free Printables}
Close your eyes.
Now think of something you could really use right now.
Is it love?
Happiness?
A wish upon a star?
Laughter?
Is it easy for you to ask for these things? Do you ever feel guilty or ashamed for admitting you need them?
We all need happiness, imagination, motivation, laughter, love, passion, inspiration, creativity, and hopeful wishes as much as we need any other basic necessity, so we shouldn't ever feel bad about giving them freely or taking them when offered.
Sometimes it's hard for us to ask for the things we need most (especially when it's not necessarily tangible), but it's never shameful or weak to do so.
Just in case you (or a stranger) need a little nudge, though, you can hang these free printable signs!
Simply download and print these pages. (Or even better, make some with your own twist!)
Cut along the dotted lines, then post them around your town, at work, in the bathroom, on your mirror, or wherever else you think someone (or yourself) could use a smile.
P.S. If you take pics of where you post them, tag them with #ThatConfettiVibe and check-in with updates as people use them up.
Unexpected things make for an extra special surprise — like finding a lucky penny on the street or discovering a love note inside your lunch box — so know that you will most definitely someone smile by posting these somewhere. You never know who might truly need it. ❤
And please don't be afraid to share in the comments below what you need right now, too. Acknowledging we need something is the first step to getting it.
** P.S. I did not come up with the general concept of these, and you can find a lot of different versions online. (Like this one and these compliments.) Years ago I saw the “Take What You Need” sign from Katie North and I was inspired to make my own version. I then started thinking about other things people may need, so I came up with the “Wish Upon a Star” sign, too. I originally posted these to my then-blog, Love Colorful, in 2012 and decided it was high time to bring 'em back. We can all use a little something sometimes. :)
